My staff works so hard. My expectations are high, but I don’t expect perfection. Of course there’s nothing better than a job well done, a kennel full of happy dogs, and a checkout list of happy clients. But today we missed a bath, and sent home a dirty dog and a highly irritated client. Not my favorite way to end the day.
We’re doing the work to figure out what went wrong and where. We’ll be meeting to try to keep it from happening again. We will do all we can to make it right next time. But I can’t take back that negative experience from the client and that is a tough pill to swallow. Even worse, I can’t take back the way my client treated my staff. I understand being upset about it. He had every right to be angry. But there’s no excuse for being disrespectful. That’s just a crying shame. Sorry, gang.
I’m just grateful that we’re resilient, and we will continue to give his dog the best care possible, regardless of how he behaves.
