Dog Training News: What’s New in our Training Department

Photo by EK PhotographyOur trainers at DogBoy’s have been working incredibly hard over the last 6 months to revamp our programs. Since the end of June, we have developed a new focus on the importance of private training sessions. We believe that private dog training is one of the best ways that clients can receive individualized coaching to become better handlers for their dogs, whether working on basic training or on specific problem behaviors. Sessions can take place either at your home or at our training center. If you feel that private training is something you could benefit from please call or email the training department. We are here to help!

Our group training program has also received a significant overhaul and offers group training experiences ranging from Puppy Class and Foundations to Trick and Sport training and Behavior Modification. Both weekly classes and one day workshops are offered. Check out the group training page of our website for listings of all the classes scheduled for the 2015 winter quarter.

One of the most exciting recent changes has been the introduction of our Weekly Board and Train package. This includes one week of boarding at DogBoy’s, 4 hours of training for your dog with one of our certified professional dog trainers, a 30-minute private training session for you with a trainer at the time of your dog’s pick up from the facility, and a one hour private training session to be scheduled after your dog’s stay in order to help you follow through on all your dog has learned over the course of the week. We are VERY excited about this program!! Visit our DogBoy’s Day School page on our website for more information about our Board and Train package.

We have also introduced a Field Trip program for our Day Care and Boarding dogs. Field Trips are enriching experiences that give our dogs the opportunity to practice good behavior in the ever changing environment of the wider world beyond the DogBoy’s facility.

Happy Holidays from the DogBoy’s Training Team!
