This is Tessa. She was found this weekend in Pioneer Crossing West. She is a sweet girl who has obviously been well taken care of. I think she’s less than a year old.
It looks like we’re going to tak her to Town Lake in case her family is looking for her there. She was found without a collar and doesn’t have a microchip. Are you taking notes???
Here’s her listing on Craig’s List in case you know anyone in her neighborhood. Pass it on!

My staff works so hard. My expectations are high, but I don’t expect perfection. Of course there’s nothing better than a job well done, a kennel full of happy dogs, and a checkout list of happy clients. But today we missed a bath, and sent home a dirty dog and a highly irritated client. Not my favorite way to end the day.
We’re doing the work to figure out what went wrong and where. We’ll be meeting to try to keep it from happening again. We will do all we can to make it right next time. But I can’t take back that negative experience from the client and that is a tough pill to swallow. Even worse, I can’t take back the way my client treated my staff. I understand being upset about it. He had every right to be angry. But there’s no excuse for being disrespectful. That’s just a crying shame. Sorry, gang.
I’m just grateful that we’re resilient, and we will continue to give his dog the best care possible, regardless of how he behaves.

Are you kidding me? Have we gotten so lazy as a nation of dog owners that we think a magic pill will fix our fat dogs? Do you know what’s in diet pills for dogs? Let me guess. Stimulants?
I’ve got an idea for you. How about FEEDING HIM LESS FOOD? How about a little WALK AROUND THE BLOCK more often? Could it be you both could use some exercise? I bet the answer is almost always YES.
Your dog doesn’t need a diet pill. Your dog doesn’t even need a “reduced calorie” food. You just need to feed your pup less food and give him or her more exercise. It’s that simple! I did it with my lab Tessa here in the past year. She has permanent injuries to her back legs, and she still lost 16 pounds! Now her chances of living longer are greatly increased - which is great news, because she’s an awesome dog!

Camden might get adopted out soon! This little guy was left here by his owner. He’s an adorable American Bulldog puppy - almost 6 months, with quite the personality.
Luckily, our clients are coming through with interest in him - Thanks to all of you who wrote in! We’ll keep working to find the best possible owner for his new forever home.
