a pure bred Golden Retriever from a breeder because he was decided "imperfect"
was the start of our family's love affair with Boomer. At six months old, Boomer
became an immediate member of the family blending beautifully with our 1 &
7 year old children.
Living in Austin without much family support left us with a dilemma about what to do with Boomer when our very active family was away. We boarded him -once- in a 4X7 kennel during a weekend and decided there has to be something better. A friend suggested DogBoy's and off we went.
The folks at DogBoy's embraced Boomer immediately as one of the family (as a Golden demands to be)! Boomer just shakes with excitement when we drive onto Crystal Bend Drive. Once there, he plays until he can move no more and comes home to rest for days. "Doggie Camp" as we call it (like a summer camp for kids), is everything we could hope for - a safe, fun, loving place for the youngest member of our family. During an exceptionally long vacation, Boomer seemed a little lonely for his family and Bart (I mean DogBoy) suggested we bring a pillow case from our bed to ease his worries and it worked like a charm. Six years later we still drive from Cedar Park (passing dozens of kennels by the way) to bring our boy to camp at DogBoy's.
