We need a home!
Hunter
Park

My name is Hunter. I wandered up to DogBoy's last Spring, and stopped right in front of the office. Mrs. DogBoy called me over to her, because she thought I might be a boarder who had escaped. Once I came to her, she saw a big metal spike coming off of my tag-less collar. I had broken away from being chained up at home. I was also very hungry and the nights were cold, so DogBoy's took me in and gave me a warm place to sleep.

I was also low-level heartworm positive, but DogBoy's has gotten me treated, and I'm all better now. I'm ready for a permanent, loving home (preferably with a warm, cozy couch!). I like most other dogs, and kids too. I am able to jump short fences. I'm very sweet, though, and would make a great companion for someone who will treat me with love and respect.

My name is Park. DogBoy and his family found me starving to death and covered in mange in Houston last February. I've doubled my weight, and I'm now mange-free! I have been through training and can now sit on a snap! I love other dogs, and like to play pretty much all day with any dog who will put up with my rowdy behavior. I know when to be submissive, so I can get along with every dog I meet. I am fairly mouthy, however. Mrs. DogBoy calls me "the Nibbler". I love kids too, and I'm completely content if left with chew toys and puzzles. I won't tear up the house when you're gone, but if I'm bored while you're home, I might chew on some paper if I find some in the trash can.

I am very fair skinned, so I need sunscreen on my face when I go outside. Yes, my right ear always stands up! That qualifies me as a true "chick magnet!" Give me a ball and I'll fetch until your arm is tired. I'm eager to learn, and love to be rewarded when I do something right. I think I'd work best in a family with older kids or another dog, because I'd be happier with a buddy to play with all day.

Sage
Leo (the Lion)

My name is Sage and I am a 2 year old spayed rottweiler. I am heartworm negative and up to date on all my shots. I was found wandering on 620 and some nice people decided to help me find a new owner. I know my basic obedience and get along with kids, cats, and other dogs - a bonus for a big dog like me! I walk fine on a leash, will hang out in a crate, and stay right next to you in the park. I am a big goofball who loves to swim, play ball, ride in the car, and just plain follow you around. I'd be happy with any human to love me but the rescue people think I'd do best wth experienced dog owner (preferably experience with big working breeds like mine). If I sound like a catch to you, please contact Austin Rottie Rescue at 512-453-3335 or austinrottrescue@lycos.com, or ask a staff member at DogBoys, and they'll be glad to hook us up!

Hi! My name is Leo and I came up to DogBoys in August 2002 while just wandering the neighborhood. The nice people here decided to
rescue me from the streets and find me a forever home. I am as sweet as pie
(my head is as big as my heart!), great with kids, okay with most dogs (I am
a bit of a ladies man!), and I do well with cats, but I still like to chase
them sometimes just to see what they will do. I get put in time out for it,
though, so I'm learning slowly that my foster mom doesn't tolerate that
behavior. I have a clean bill of health and updated on all of my yearly
vaccinations. I am heartworm negative, but taking Iverhart monthly because
my doctor thinks she saw Microfilaria (baby heartworms before they get to
the heart) in my bloodstream. We want to nip that in the bud before it gets
worse! Animal Trustees also recently neutered me, so I am good to go in that department! I love riding in the car once I'm in, it's getting me in that's
the hard part. I haven't had a lot of exposure to that sort of thing. Please
come and meet me and you won't be sorry! You can call DogBoys: 251-7600 or Rebecca: 339-9907.
