This is an American Kennel Club (AKC) sponsored class, and is offered to graduates of Level I for continuing education. This is a perfect class if you have ever considered training your pooch for therapy work. The class simulates "real world" situations, such as dog to dog pass-by's on leash, being handled by a friendly stranger, and basic manners in public. You will be met with a series of ten items on a pass or fail basis. Upon passing all ten tests, determined by a certified CGC evaluator, an official certificate will be mailed to you.
If you are not a graduate of DogBoy's Level I class, you must be pre-approved by one of our trainers in order to sign up. Classes will be held at DogBoy's as well as various parks around Austin and Pflugerville. The class schedule will be discussed at the 1st class because the class runs through Spring Break.

Did you know the most critical learning time in your dog's life takes place before 16 weeks of age?! Did you also know that most dogs surrendered by their owner to shelters are between the ages of 6 months to 3 years? The reason for this is simple: zero training and lack of socialization. It's so imperative to begin training and socialization as soon as you bring your puppy home. This class is designed to give you and your puppy the right
head start on life and helps you tackle main puppy issues like chewing, puppy biting and playing, potty training, house manners, crate training, and last, but NOT least, socialization. Puppies from 8 to 16 weeks may take the class.

For dogs six months or older; multiple-dog homes need prior approval. We call this course Behavior 101 since owners get a firm understanding of how the doggy mind works, why your dog does what he does, and how to change negative behaviors into desirable ones. We also incorporate basic obedience in a fun, conversational way. This is a great class for those who want to grow closer to their dog and learn how he thinks, gain a better relationship. One free day of doggie daycare is included!

This class is for those who have passed Level 1 Obedience and one other class - either Search and Rescue, Agility and/or Canine Good Citizen. This class teaches distance control like "STOP" and telling the dog to go right or left, plus takes obedience to the next level. This class is homework intensive but fun, so, see you there.

Offered to those who have graduated Level 1 Obedience and another training class at DogBoy's (Level 2 Obedience, Search and Rescue, Tracking, Agility, and Canine Good Citizen), this class will take place all over Austin at restaurants, parks, and stores. We will focus on working on good manners in the car as well as in public. So, let's get Out 'n About and show everyone how great out dogs are!

Agility is a great way for you and your dog to do something together in a controlled manner, all the while, having a doggone terrific time! By attending the class, you'll have a hands on chance to train your dog through beginning agility obstacles, basic commands and the use of body language. Our agility classes are behaviorally based and are for those who just want to have fun with your dog. We like to call this class Fungility!
Potential students must be graduates of Level I Obedience.

This is for all students who have graduated from our Level I agility class.

This class is open to any dog that loves toys and/or food. Your dog will learn to track a human's scent along the ground by using its nose. This class is fun and exciting for both dog and owner. A regular harness, favorite treats and toys are required for the class. This class is on leash.
