GROUP CLASSES

Not sure which class would be best for you and your pooch? Let us help you pick what would best suit the needs of you and your dog. Contact our office for more information at 251-7600 or training@dogboys.com. Because we keep our classes small, approximately six to eight dogs per class, you are guaranteed more individual attention and instruction from our trainers. Classes fill up quickly so sign up as soon as you can! We do require a $25 deposit which will hold your spot in the class. All classes are held at DogBoy's.
Puppy Class
For puppies six weeks to three months old; dogs three to six months require evaluation prior to class. The development of a bouncing puppy into a healthy, happy dog is the focus of this course. We cover basic commands, diet and nutrition, housebreaking, and crate training. This is a great class for anyone who wants to get off on the right paw with his/her dog. One free day of doggie daycare is included.

Meets: One hour per week for six weeks.
Fee: $200
Adult Class - Level I
For dogs six months or older; multiple-dog homes need prior approval. We call this course Behavior 101 since owners get a firm understanding of how the doggy mind works, why Fido does what he does, and how to change negative behaviors into desirable ones. We also teach the basic commands such as Sit, Down, Wait, and Come in a fun, conversational way. One free day of doggie daycare is included.
Next class starts: Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at 6:30 pm --or-- Monday, April 22 at 6:30 pm
Meets: 1-1½ hours per week for six weeks.
Fee: $200
Adult Class - Level II
Open to graduates of Level I and Leash Walking, as well as approved private-lesson students; non-DogBoy's students require prior approval. Prerequisites are a two-minute sit, a solid recall command, Leave It, Too Bad, and Down-Stays. In this advanced class you learn new games to improve control of your dog both on and off leash. One free day of doggie daycare is included.

Meets: 1½ hours per week for seven weeks.
Fee: $200
Leash Walking
A one-session class open to students and graduates of Puppy Class, Adult Level I, or private lessons on the recommendation of your DogBoy's trainer. The goal of the class is to teach you how to maintain control of your dog while walking on a loose leash. We don't use choke, pinch, or shock collars. Each walking team receives personal coaching and attention. The session lasts about 45 minutes, but feel free to stay longer and practice more on DogBoy's 15 acres.
